Bibby Line Group 'Benefits Portal'
Bibby has an arrangement with Personal Group of Companies, who provide a range of benefits to all employees covering private healthcare, low cost travel insurance, discounted airport parking, shopping vouchers, online voucher codes, discounted holidays, vehicle breakdown cover and much, much more. All new starters with Bibby will receive details of the scheme in their induction training and will have direct access to the portal through the Company Intranet page.
Childcare vouchers are offered to all BDL employees and details of the benefits can be accessed from the Benefits Portal as above. The vouchers are a way the Company can provide assistance to working parents with dependent children and the vouchers can be brought tax and NI free which could give you a saving of about £1000 per year.
Health Care is offered to all eligible employees through Heath Shield. This scheme helps members to cover the cost of everyday healthcare needs and members can claim a refund for treatments such as dental, optical, physiotherapy and so much more. The Company pays for the first level of benefit to cover yourself and dependent children and you are given the option to pay yourself for additional cover.
Cycle to Work scheme
This is a tax free scheme that allows employees to purchase a bike tax free for use at work. BDL encourages employees to cycle to work which helps contributes to the reduction of air pollution and to improve their personal health. The maximum purchase price of a bike is £1000 and you must be earning more than the minimum wage after salary sacrifice and not under contract to terminate your employment during the term of the agreement. You must also have successfully completed your probation period to be eligible. The hire terms will be for a period of 12 months, and at the end of this period you will be given options to keep your bike under a different agreement, after 3 years the bike is yours to sell on if you wish.
The Company will pay for eye examinations for VDU users and will also contribute towards the cost of spectacles purchased for the use of VDU use.
A pension scheme is offered to all employees, further details on schemes offered including auto enrolment will be outlined when you start.
Training and development
Training and development is regarded as an integral part of the Company's success and growth. We offer a wide range of learning opportunities and we endeavour to assist you in developing the key skills, knowledge and understanding required to do your job effectively. A systematic approach to training is adopted where we identify training needs, plan and facilitate suitable learning opportunities and review training methods to ensure their effectiveness.
We recognise our employees service achievements by rewarding them throughout their employment. The Company recognises milestones at 10 years, 20 years, 30 years and 40 years throughout the duration of an individual's contract.
Annual leave is 20 days minimum plus bank holidays.
Giving something back
Since 2007 our employees have donated over £7.9 million to over 1000 charitable causes. This is a fantastic representation of the 'power of our people', giving back to charities that matter the most to them. Donations made so far this year are £186,715 and the Company matches funds pound for pound up to a maximum of £1000 for events and is capped at £2000 per year.
